Description
No Weak Links
SRAM PC-XX1 Eagle chain links have a smooth radius, with no sharp edges or chamfers, which yield a significant reduction in noise, friction and wear. This design also allows for a flatter plate, which means more consistent chain riveting and greater overall strength. And it's also the biggest contributor to the ultra-smooth, precise, durable and quiet performance found in the 10-50 tooth cassette and X-SYNC 2 chainrings. Installation is made easy with a dedicated 12-speed Eagle quick link.
Features:
- Black, gold, or rainbow
- Titanium-nitride PVD finish
- Hollow pins
- 126 links
- Compatible with SRAM 12-speed cassettes only

Reviews
Mi bike came with GX as standard equipment and though it's a good product; alloy and Ti nitride treatment on XX1 just makes it the best chain against wear and corrosion. It stands at the top on independent tests and in the end makes more sense as it will reduce cost of use along with top quality lube (Silca, Ceramicspeed or immersion wax, just remember to clean and remove oem grease). I rotate 2 chains every 500 miles and both look like new and don't show significant signs of wear after +3k miles.
I have been using XX1 Eagle chains since the group was released. There is nothing else on the market that lasts as long as these chains do when kept clean and lubed (and likely when you don't). They look so nice with the color treatments as well. They aren't the highest efficiency chains out there if that matters to you, but for dollars per mile of life XX1 (yes they are different from XO1) chains are the best value and do the best job at keeping your other drivetrain components from wearing out.
The XX1 chain always works great and looks really good on the bike. I clean off the anti-rust coating with mineral spirits, wash, and lube the chain before i put it on. They hold up really well.
SRAM chains are the longest wearing 12 SP out there IMO.
Having a silver and the rainbow color chains makes it easy to know which chain is next in line for a hot wax emersion.
Great chain that actually does make shifting a little smoother. In my experience the Eagle group of products work well together. This group has made mountain biking a lot of fun again.
It works great, looks good, and it is silent. Easy to install, the master link is easy to work. I love that it is quiet. I sneak up behind other riders on our local single track trails.
This chain has been my go-to chain for use on the multiple E-MTB's I have owned. This chain provides many miles of smooth reliable performance and precise shifting. I just purchased a new Specialized Turbo Levo E-MTB and replaced the the new GX chain with this one and immediately noticed the difference. This PCXX1 chain is much quieter and the drive train shifts smoother. Plus, I know from thousands of miles of experience with these chains that they're extremely durable and reliable in all weather and terrain conditions. Highly recommend this high quality chain!
