Ingenious Design For Unpredictable Weather
When the ice starts to melt there's a buzz among cyclists about the upcoming season, but spring means indecision about your wardrobe. Thermal jackets are overkill, but a lightweight long sleeve isn't enough to cut it. For days that fluctuate from breezy and cool mornings to toasty afternoons, don the Sportful Hot Pack Easylight Jacket and hit the pavement.
This compact jacket takes the sting of frosty winds off your shoulders and packs up neatly into your jersey's back pocket when you start to warm up. It's crafted from featherweight synthetic that offers coverage from harsh gusts, and mild rain, while still keeping breathability a priority, perfect for long rides.
In the front, you'll find a Camlock zipper that easily adjusts for letting in a little fresh air, and in the back is a rear pocket that the jacket tucks neatly inside of when it's time to pack it away.
Performance fit: Sportful apparel is designed with a performance cut that often runs smaller than that of other manufacturers. Consider sizing-up one size to ensure a comfortable fit — e.g., if you typically wear a Medium, select a Large in Sportful.
Features:
- A packable jacket for tackling shoulder seasons
- Lightweight fabric cuts the wind and showers
- Cool down on the climb with Camlock zipper
- Breathable construction wicks away sweat
- Stash jacket in built in rear pocket
- Easily packs away in your jersey back pocket

Reviews
I needed a light weight, packable jacket and this one fits the description perfectly. Because of the extreme and unpredictable changes in weather and temperature where I live, this jacket is the item of clothing that I use the most from October to April. That's more than half of the year. Granted: it doesn't protect me in torrential rain, but I use it most of the time rather as a wind breaker, light enough that doesn't make me feel hot in the steepest climbs and warm enough when it's time to go downhill. Definitely a game changer. That said, I have to disclose that I bought it when it was on sale (I saved about $36) and that's why I gave it 5 stars in the value rating. However, I don't know if I would have bought it at full price (almost $90!).
I order orange, but we change it for black. Great services for exchanges! If you want to be visible then construction orange is your color. It is a little tight in the back pocket and front area, but if you are not adding a lot of stuff in your inside jersey then you are fine. Great use for winter days! Highly recommended.
A great lightweight jacket, good for chilly temps and wind and stylish to boot. Works fine for VERY light/brief rain, but anything beyond that it's no good at keeping out moisture. The fit is very snug, I'm 6' tall, 168 lbs and wear a men's medium 99% of the time. Got a medium in this jacket and it is super tight. Even the wrist openings are weirdly small. (I have small wrists, and it's a bit of work getting my hands through.)
Overall, though, it's a dandy jacket.
I rated the jacket at 4 stars becasue I haven't ridden in it yet. My main concern was the fit after reading the online reviews about it running very small. I'm 6'1", 160 lbs and 64 years old with 39.5" chest. I ordered the X-Large and it turned out to be too big and returned it for a large. The Large is a comfortably snug fit around the waist and chest when wearing a long sleeve jersey and undershirt. Sleeves length is ok (longer is always better in my opinion) and room inside for a thin set of elboe pads. I'll report back with how it holds up after getting some miles on it.
This is a race-fit jacket of very lightweight, barely-elastic material. Either it fits you or it doesn't. It does fit me. The cut is pretty good (for race cut jackets) and does not flap, although the venting panels near the underarms/lower lats create a bit of extra material. Sportful is accurate in the description - it might add 5-7 degrees of comfort from cold or wind. And that's really nice to have when you want it, especially when it weights nothing and doesn't even fill up a back jersey pocket.
