The shoe that combines the best for everyone: whether racing or a casual ride, the Sidi Genius 10 Mega is simply the best platform for a great day in the saddle. Built on over 60 years of experience in manufacturing cycling shoes, Genius is designed on a carbon composite sole that offers the perfect combination of strength and comfort, while the Microtech upper adapts to the shape of the foot for superior comfort.
The Sidi Carbon Composite 20 Sole is constructed of Carbon Fiber injected into a nylon matrix. The Nylon is impervious to water damage and doesn't lose rigidity in hot or humid weather or as it ages.
Soft Instep Closure & Tecno-3 Systems
The closure system features an ergonomic instep strap, anatomically designed to fit securely, while still comfortable. It can be easily adjusted on either side to provide a perfect fit, accommodating even those with a higher instep. Additionally, it can be replaced whenever necessary.
SIDI's Tecno-3 System dials in fit along the entire length of the shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. The closure uses a new proprietary SIDI Wire monofilament that is completely non-binding for intuitive and effortless on-the-fly adjustments. Like most SIDI small parts, the Tecno-3 System is serviceable and replaceable.
The newly designed integrated heel cup is light weight and reinforced to avoid deformations after prolonged strenuous use.

I ride in an older pair of Sidi Mega, 45.5, that fit perfectly. I wanted to try the Lake wide shoes, that are promoted as accommodating a wide foot. I ordered 2 pair from BTD, a 45.5 & a 46. The 45.5 were too snug, & the 46 were too wide & too long. BTD allowed me to return both pair, & I got the new version of the Sidi Mega, 45.5. Again, fit perfectly. The Sidi's are more true to size, & wider than the Lake counterpart. No, you don't get a full carbon sole, & the Lake dial closure system is better, but the fit is superior, & that's the crucial aspect. I'm sold on the Sidi's.
I've worn Sidi Genius road shoes for years. Now that my left foot metatarsal bone on little toe has grown outward, my regular shoes rub. I researched and found these Mega Road Shoes which are made wider. That's true. Wearing them gives me more room and no rub. But they are really larger. My normal size 43 seems almost too large for me. But they are very much Sidi quality and very usable. No rear foot adjustment. Good for the price, especially on sale.
