Description
Made from abrasion-resistant Cordura fabric with a storage capacity of 15 L each, the Sport Packer Plus Panniers make excellent front or rear bags. They trade the weatherproof-ness of their classic roll top panniers for the convenience of a flip down lid closure that uses a protective inner dust flap and secure buckling compression straps. One inner pocket lends basic organization to the inner contents, and a removable shoulder strap makes for easy off-the-bike portage.
Mounting and dismounting the Sport Packer Plus Panniers couldn't be easier with the use of Ortlieb's QL2.1 quick-release fixing system. Spring loaded clamps release from racks with a pull of the hand-strap, and all the contact points are adjustable to fit almost any rack. Different tubing diameters can be fitted using the included reduction inserts that take the clamp diameter from 16 mm down to 12, 10, or 8 mm.
Integrated feet on the base of the panniers help prevent premature wear, and anti-scratch and anti-abrasion materials help keep both the bag and rack from damage.

I got the bags for touring, put them through the test. I put 350 miles of roads and gravel and heavy down pour. All my gear stayed nice and dry. Very well made and thought out piece of kit. Also got a few compliments on the green color, over all very happy with them....

These bags are so easy to adjust and mount.
They come off on a snap too! Very durable and waterproof. I used my Ortlieb panniers in an Arizona summer thunderstorm. The rain was so heavy we could hardly see, but the contents were bone dry!
I am really pleased with these bags. Having toured for years with the-albeit more waterproof-roll-top bags, I appreciate the extra bit of flexibility that these bucket-style panniers offer When carrying larger loads, the internal dust flap can be cinched on top of everything to hold it in place before closing the outer lid. For smaller loads, I just fold the dust flap down inside before packing and then use the second, outer drawstring to cinch everything down.
A couple of features that I don't find particularly useful are the inner organization pockets and the shoulder strap attachment points (which I wish we're removable), but others will no doubt appreciate these features more.
All in all, these bags are my favorite I have owned, and the prices and service from biketiresdirect.com can't be beat.
These are Ortlieb front (or rear) small panniers and the are awesome, beautiful, and really help with distributing some weight to the front for ease and balanced touring.
Beautiful design, bags look super new after going through dirtsand. Best panniers I've seen. Had the front ones and glad to add the larger back size, now ready to bring everything and the kitchen sink. Also have locks you can order to lock to bike.
