It's better than I'd dared hope for my particular needs. I don't know anything about the seatpost attachment components, as the option I needed/use is the "belt clip" style attachment that's part of the light itself. I clip it to a webbing loop on the back/rear of my under-seat bag, and from that location, it gives an excellent view to traffic. I don't routinely ride after dark, but wanted this light for increased safety for daylight riding and into dusk on occasion. Especially for the modest price and light weight, I'm really impressed with how bright this tail-light is, and the several different types of "flashing" light options in addition to solid "on".
It is difficult to find lights that are rated very good, especially quality and design. This light is the exception, the brightness, ease of attachment, battery life and ease of use make for a top choice. The only negative is the silicone USB port cover may be a little dificult to close, but I am on to it now. Overall I highly recommend this light !
I chose this light because it has a hook mount, which I use to attach it to my helmet strap. The hook is very secure, its never come loose once in over a year of riding. Even though its small and light, it puts out a lot of light. I just bought a 2nd for my commute bike, where it mounts on the rack. Ive had it on for many hours during long rides, it has never stopped working.
I bought the NiteRider Vmax+ 150 after taking a few recommendations from a BTD staff member. This replaced a Knog that died on me way too soon. The NiteRider is incredibly bright - seriously bright, and it always gets turned on when I have to share the road, especially on Pacific Coast Highway and I need to trust that I am visible to motorists. The light is very easy to activate while riding with a one-touch button, and has an array of different patterns to choose from. The NiteRider charges via a USB-C, which is nice since everything on my desk uses modern USB-C connectors. I could not give this light a higher recommendation, it has been great so far.
Very bright-- to the point of possibly annoying others. Hinged mount allows you to focus light downward if you think it's too distracting. I found a second mount to switch between two bikes. Lightweight and good price.
Almost a year of ownership and this light is amazing. It is BRIGHT and the combinations of lighting patterns will be sure to get the attention of approaching drivers. Excellent light - I am so glad I bought this and use it when I am on the road.
Purchased to use on bike helmets (my wife and I). Have had numerous comments from car drivers on how visible we are and how much they appreciate the additional visibility. Terrific product. Btw, we also use garmin varia.
Perfect light output for the size. Mount is good and easy to use. The built-in clip works great with jersey pockets and the rear of saddle bags. Charges fast. Lasts several 1.5 hour rides before re-charging when using flashing mode.
