Designed For the Riders Ready To Explore Unpaved Roads and Trails — Kask Caipi Helmet
The Kask Caipi MTB Helmet is for the cyclist who wants to take their riding to the next level and crave adventure. For the road cyclist, ready to explore beyond the tarmac, the Caipi is the ideal highly ventilated trailing riding helmet that is both lightweight and full protection.
Caipi boasts a lightweight construction, while it features 22 individual vents for optimum cooling, as well as integrated ventilation built into the lightweight visor.
Head coverage is generous, offering the increased protection required for off-road riding. Along with all-round good coverage, the extended rear section - featuring additional ventilation - covers the back of the head down to a line level with the base of the skull.
Comfort, Protection and Style. All Packed into the Caipi Helmet
The aesthetically pleasing peal (or visor) offers protection from spray, trail debris and the sun. To give you improved comfort when the trail gets rough, the inclusion of thermoformed padding and KASK's Octo Fit system enables the helmet to cradle the head for optimum safety and fit during long days on the saddle. The Octo Fit system is easily adjusted even further using the Custom Fit Divider on the strap, helping to ensure the perfect fit of the strap under the chin.
Offered in Matte Black, Black, Red, Orange and White, the Kask Caipi Mountain Bike Helmet is as technology-packed as it is stylish.

Reviews
Needed a new endurance XC racing helmet but getting a bit older wanted a bit more protection vs using a road helmet like the past. This is my first MTB specific helmet and fell in love. Put it on and went for a ride and actually forgot about it so it must fit great. Prior tried on a Smith Session, and Lazer. Both seemed heavy without being on the bike so imagined it might be worse in a long 6-12hr race and the Smith had a torturous retention system. This Caipi fit the bill perfect. BTW, you don't notice the visor even though it stay in one position. Only remote negative is the orange is muddled and not a bright orange. BUT, if that is my only complaint, it is a win.
I purchased the orange medium helmet on a BTD sale. That's where the value rating comes from. I wear a medium Giro and Specialized and this fits the same. It has a strange feel to the inner cage when you first set it on your head but nothing noticeable once it's locked down and it stays put. Wearing it on the road mostly. Has a real leather chin strap, that may be a problem for some. Visor is a must for me, I'll sacrifice a stiff neck to prevent a burnt nose any day. Did I mention It's lightweight ?
I purchased this helmet in August of 2020. The foam on the front of helmet is gone as of August 2022. I tried to buy a new foam pad but Kask stated they were not available. Also I wasn't sure they updated the foam design. I still like the helmet but I have to wear a head band or hat under it.
