Manifest The Best.
Why compromise? For the riders that demand the best equipment, meet Giro's new Manifest™ Spherical helmet. With Spherical Technology™, best-in-class ventilation, full coverage and luxurious comfort, Manifest is the most premium trail riding helmet available.
Among the Manifest's extraordinary features is Spherical Technology which utilizes a ball-and-socket design to redirect impact forces. Developed in Giro's test lab in partnership with MIPS®, Spherical Technology allows the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash, and eliminates contact with a hard plastic slip-plane against skin. Another major benefit of Spherical Technology is progressive layering — dual-density foam liners designed to address high- and low-speed impacts for more comprehensive energy management.
The Best Ventilation on Dirt.
As you push your limits on the pedals, you'll appreciate this helmet's wide-open airflow. The AURA reinforcing arch bolsters structural integrity while allowing air to flow freely into a series of massive Wind Tunnel™ vents and internal channeling. Comfort and sweat absorption are enhanced by quick-drying antimicrobial XT2 padding.
You'll notice this cooling power when you're hammering in the heat and it's backed up by Giro's test results.
Luxurious Comfort.
Fit and positioning adjustments are achieved with a redesigned Roc Loc® Trail Air fit system that offers dynamic strength and UV-resistance while improving ventilation and comfort. And it almost goes without saying, the Manifest's™ sophisticated style and compact design raises the bar for performance and style.

Reviews
Great looking helmet but rubs the top of my ears. Im between sizes and went with the large. The sides of the helmet rub the tops of my ears. Went to a local shop and tried a medium and it was just a tad too small. My guess is that being between sizes puts me at the small end of the large where the helmet doesnt sit high enough to clear my (not huge) ears. Lesson learned with helmets try before you buy.
I've owned the road version of Giro's spherical MIPS helmet, the Aether for the last two years and I love it. So as soon as this version for Mountain Biking came out I really wanted it!
It's very comfortable not having any of the MIPS plastic against your scalp but still having the safety benefits of MIPS. It's also very light weight, and the fit is perfect. I have a more oval head, most helmets sit a bit high above my ears, but this one comes down perfectly, a quarter inch above my ear, and just above my eye brows. It also covers the back of my head nicely.
The vents are quite generous, I'll be happy to have that ventilation on the warm days! It's worth mentioning too that the colors are way better in person. The matte gray has a slight bit of blue to it and the lower portion is kind of marble like. Very nice looking!
Love this helmet. Cool and lightweight with additional coverage on the back. Took off the visor and use when road riding with my gravel bike. Fits my more oval shaped head. Pretty much only use Giro helmets.Price was right also.
I was pretty stoked to see Giro release this helmet, after riding with the Aether over last year on my road bike, since I was looking for something a bit better fitting, more advanced and with longer chin straps than my go-to, the Bell Super 3R.
This helmet fits excellent, breathes well, even on hot days, and is comfortable to ride with for hours. It also has a lot of coverage of the head, and its vertical surfaces in particular, both front to back and side to side, so it likely won't fit most folks well that ride with goggles or super large glasses. Thankfully I'm old school with mid-fit Smith riding glasses, so it's not an issue.
It's a great value when on sale, but a tad pricey full retail, but worth the money either way.
I found that the manifest is one of the most ventilated mountain bike helmets i have ever used. And the retention system is very comfortable, even on very long rides. The only downside is that it rides very low on my brow, and pushes my glasses down my nose, (it is only noticeable with big sunglasses, but nowadays, it seems like every brand is going for the biggest ones they can fit on your face)even adjusting the retention straps to it's higher setting.
Needed a road helmet update, and wanted a little more head coverage, which the Manifest provides ... closer to the ears and more around back. Easily removed the visor, and had to sand, very slightly, several of the many foam nubs inside that were a little too aggressive against my head. Angle of the chin straps allows wearing glasses without strap interference. Have used Bell helmets previously, and this Giro fits fine too. The chin strap magnetic catch is different and takes a little getting used to.
I knew I wanted a MIPS helmet for xc safety, but I didn't want a hot helmet. The Manifest is a great solution as it's got great venting even on 100+ degree days and it fits well. It was a little hard to tell how it fit at first since the moving upper shell makes the usual twist test impossible. Once I learned to clamp down the twist lock, it's a great fit too. Excellent helmet at a scary price, but the BTD sale price made it a lot easier to handle.
I replaced my previous helmet w the Manifest looking for the best possible protection. I recently experienced the most violent wreck I have had. OTB over the bars at speed w head first impact. I have no recollection of it, but my buddy watched it happen. CT scan shows no brain damage and I'm feeling pretty good with all things considered. Thank you Giro for saving my bacon !!!
Helmet fits well and we'll ventilated. Had to replace my old POC helmet after a hard crash MTB'ing and this one fits me a little better. Nice and light, good helmet. Hope I won't need to replace it any time soon!
I wear the Giro Aries road in medium (59cm) and the Manifest in medium as well. This helmet surrounds my head more than the Aries, particularly over temples and back of head. Has comfortable padding that does suck up my heavy sweating well. I pump the sweat out with a push on the front with head down and rain sweat. Tried a POC MIPS that didn't fit well when I tried that. Been doing that for years with Atmos, then Aeon. Both the Aries and Manifest are great protection for me and I'm a heavy sweat producer.
As a long time POC Tectal Race (non SPIN, non MIPS) owner, I was in the market for a new MTB helmet with similar vent and weight characteristics but also the latest safety tech.
I was pretty much sold on getting either the Tectal Race MIPS or the Kortal Race MIPS - both of which utilize MIPS Integra. What I realized is that MIPS Integra is basically the same as SPIN, ie squishy pads, and it was not clear to me whether throwing them in the laundry was even an option. Furthermore, both helmets, even the Tectal (but with MIPS Integra) were uncomfortable for me due to hotspots, which was surprising given my previous history with Tectals.
Luckily, I decided to try the Giro Manifest on a whim and it is by far the best choice for me compared to POC's latest MIPS offerings. The Giro fit better, is lighter than the Tectal and Kortal, and appears to vent even better than my old Tectal. In fact, just wearing the helmet at home and walking from inside my house to garage, I can feel the air flowing over my head. Furthermore, it appears to have more advanced MIPS vs squishy pads (with pads I can throw in the laundry) and the Fidlock buckle was a cherry on top.
So maybe the Manifest doesn't scream "enduro bro" looks, but hey, it's not look you can see your helmet while you're riding!
I use this this helmet for both road and off-road adventures. Excellent protraction, breezy, light, and fits the noggin well. An excellent helmet for bike adventures. Only con is that the helmet on the back side near the ears, could perhaps be higher or "raised" so there was more clearance in that area.
I have worn Giro helmets exclusively for years for both my mountain and road bike needs. Size medium always fits me well. Fit, quality and features on the Giro Manifest are top notch as I would expect. Taking advantage of the great sale price was the tipping point in going with the top of the line.
