Indoor Training, Outdoor Efforts — every single ride counts with the Garmin Edge 130 Plus.
The Garmin Edge 130 Plus packs a ton of technology into a perfectly compact package for the rider who prefers simplicity and training results.
This GPS cycling computer not only shows how far you've ridden indoors but how fast. Sync structured workouts right to your device, and pair to an indoor trainer to bring your outdoor rides indoors (coming soon).
Track Your Outdoor Ascents, Better.
Edge 130 Plus even helps you gauge your effort during the remainder of a hilly ride by using the ClimbPro feature, which keeps track of the remaining ascent. And because it's GPS, you'll always know where you're headed and how to get back with reliable navigation tools.
It even has incident detection and assistance features to send your real-time location to emergency contacts (When paired with a compatible smartphone) should you need help.

Reviews
I purchased the bundle at a sweet July 4 promotion, so already a great deal. Very easy to use, paired with the Dual-HRM (make sure it's wet before strapping on). I synced a cadence sensor to the Edge 130+ and so I use it along with HR to monitor my zones. I've yet to go the power meter route, so this works fine for me as I understand well my HR zones and best cadences for optimum fitness. *Remember, the Edge 130+ does NOT relay/record Intensity Minutes (for the Garmin folks out there), so if you do want those, you must keep using your smartwatch -mine is the Vivoactive 3- to record them. I have also paired the HR monitor to the watch and run an activity to record the IMs during a ride. Post ride, I first save the Edge 130+ data, edit accordingly, and then save the Vivoactive 3 cycling data to only to get the IMs. You can then delete the watch data/activity and the IMs will remain. Whew!
I like it. This will last me for several years. I won't be in any hurry to upgrade anytime soon.
Likes: Small package, unobtrusive, accurate.
Dislikes: Setup, changing displays.

Average 15miles daily at 4400ft elevation.
Primarily use it for MTB riding. GPS tracking, heartrate and speed is accurate and informative -- distance, elevation gain, etc. It's fun (although usefulness is a question) to see jumping stats. Flow and Grit numbers are marginally useful if you ride the same trails over and over, but who cares? Will probably download a training program when the snow falls and I move to an indoor trainer.
No wires, no remote sensors with dead batteries, easy menu system, automatically synchs to my profile, and is a display for the awesome Garmin Varia radar tail light. I have always opted for simple computers, not big into tracking my numbers. Just make it simple. The EDGE 130 gives me simple, plus my basic stats are there automatically if I want to look them up, including elevation gain. Best computer (and tail light) I've had out of the last 5 or so. I wear the HR monitor about once a month to be sure I'm not dead (so far, so good). The 130 doesn't seem to mind.
So far i have been quite happy with this bundled purchase. The HR monitor and belt work great and I love having the constant display. The out front unit holder works great and it works nicely with the Varia front light that I recently purchased. I gave 4 stars because i believe the garmin unit itself should be larger.
