Bike Radar's 2023 Performance Bike Of The Year
The ENVE MELEE Chassis is the starting point for a road bike build to match confidence in your ability with confidence in your equipment.
The Melee takes design cues from the ENVE Custom Road, but where the Custom Road prioritizes customization, the Melee prioritizes efficiency and speed. With geometry optimized around 27 to 32 mm tires, the Melee dials up the versatility with the ability to fit up to 35 mm tires, allowing you to tune your Melee to meet the needs of the day.
Real World Fast
Developed in CFD and the wind tunnel, the Melee features refined tube shapes that have been tuned to complement their SES™ rim shapes and deliver aerodynamic performance. Additional features such as the Integrated Front-End add to the Melee's slippery design.
The Integrated Front-End routes wires and hoses through the bar, stem, and headset, where they're secured using ENVE's anti-rattle finishing kit, allowing them to remain silent, out of sight, and out of the wind.
Fit & Geometry
At the foundation of performance are bike fit and geometry. Offered in seven sizes with five fork rakes, the Melee has your ideal fit in mind — like no other race bike on the market.
ENVE have added two extra fork rakes to specifically accommodate the smallest and largest of riders. This ensures that the Melee, regardless of size, will deliver the same level of responsive, confidence-inspiring handling required of a race bike.
Build It Your Way
The Melee Frameset is the canvas upon which you can create your dream bike. Choose your SES AR Handlebar width, Integrated Aero Stem length, and Aero Seatpost setback to achieve your perfect setup.
Part One of your full ENVE Frameset. Please contact Customer Service to complete your build with integrated handlebars, stem, and seatpost. Enve Handlebar, Seatpost and Stem not included with Frameset. Enve Aero Seatpost is required.

Reviews
Purchased an Enve Melee after a high speed crash destroyed my S-Works Tarmac. Sz 52, 40cm bars, 100mm stem, built up with SRAM Red AXS with a Quarq power meter. Rolling on Carolina 50mm wheels, Industry 9 hubs and GP 5000 TL 28mm tires. I currently have approximately 400 miles on it both trainer and outside. If I compare it to my Tarmac the geometry is almost exactly the same, matter of fact, the only difference is a 4mm longer top tube and about 150gms heavier.
This thing is stiff...but in the right places. I think that is mostly a function of my going from QR skewers to thru axles. Fully built it's about 1.5lbs heavier than my Tarmac but I went from rim brake 11 speed to disc brake 12 speed and I think that is the main reason. It doesn't feel like it has the same snappiness as my Tarmac did when climbing but all out sprinting and cornering at speed I don't notice a difference.
My only complaint if I had one is that it is only available in one color. I typically build my own bikes because I don't want anyone to have the same bike I do and with only a single paint color that significantly increases the odds I will see another that is at least similar.
Long story short, I don't have any regrets and I am happy with my purchase, would definitely buy it again and recommend the Melee to the serious cyclist!!
