Fly Tex MTB — lightness and performance.
Fly Tex MTB is a really versatile product, designed to offer mountain and gravel riders a very light, performing and resistant bottle, to use without worrying about the cleanliness of the push-pull valve.
Adding a detachable transparent plastic cap to protect the lid prevents the bottle to be covered of dust, mud and other external agents that might land on the spout while riding the MTB on rocky, off-road paths.
Variable thickness = lighter bottles.
The Elite FLY range is widely known as the lightest bottle ever created thanks to its 30% weight decrease compared to traditional bottles on the market. This is achieved through their variable thickness structure - they've got a thin middle part and a thick bottom, so there's less material used at no expense of the resistance or functional qualities of the bottle.

I don't drink that much so I bought a couple of these to forgo riding with a hydration pack. I have a ton of bottles at home but bought these thinking that the cap would keep out dirt, sand, etc.....they do not. The cap is filmsy and will likely break pretty quickly but besides that it doesn't really form a seal to prevent stuff from getting in while riding trails. The gap lets in all the same stuff that I thought these bottles would keep out. Use the bottles you already have, don't buy these .
Great for when you want/prefer the mouthpiece to be covered & protected from dirt, dust & debris. I use these for rails to trails (gravel) or when mtn biking when I know I'll be on muddy trails and/or trails that will be littered with horse poop. The plastic is thin & is easy to squeeze. Being made of thinner plastic they're easily scratched & scuffed up, but this is typical for all bottles.
No more eating dirt from the bottle being splattered from the front wheel. Ordered 2. Broke the top cover off of one after about 10 rides. Got caught ever so slightly on something and tore off. The other is fine. Bottle capacity is a little small and plastic a little thin. It's a slight pain to get a drink while riding off road, but worth the trade off imo.
