Description
The quintessential pack for carrying heavy loads over long distances
The Apidura Expedition Full Frame Pack fits into the bike's main triangle, providing a large space for bulky items, anything from cooking gear and tent poles to heavy tools on longer expeditions and bikepacking trips. The resulting low center of gravity is spread along a narrow, central plane, resulting in a frame pack that has minimal effect on handling while offering a high volume of storage space.
The Expedition Full Frame Pack is constructed from a lightweight fabric, custom milled to Apidura's specifications and welded together at the seams to create a watertight seal. Zippers with protected closures ensure that the contents stay dry, even in a sustained downpour. A battery lead/hydration hose port is handy for charging devices or staying hydrated on the road.
Features & Specs:
- Lightweight waterproof laminate, developed specifically for Apidura
- Carbon-friendly attachment straps for a strong hold
- Dual interior compartments, with removable internal divider
- Interior storage pockets keep contents organised
- Protected battery/hydration hose port
- Reflective graphics for increased visibility

Reviews
Used this for over 5 years and just ordered a new one as my original pack is falling apart.
This is the lightest and most waterproof and feature rich pack I could find. I ride a 61cm commuter track bike (All City Thunderdome) so the xl fits well and provides an amazing amount of storage with such minimal weight. The main issue I had is that the main compartment zipper finally broke down and comes off track. I can still get it close with multiple attempts and some finesse, but its aggravating and annoying. Apidura (in UK) after many back and forth emails was willing to repair, but at my shipping expense, which to the UK was like $60 and not worth it to me. Then recently the separator between the smaller side pocket and big pocket failed, as its just welded on. That was the last straw for me so I coughed up another $135 (with this on clearance, otherwise woulda been $212) to hopefully get another 5 years or morethis time I will be more careful w that main zipper. Not the most attractive pack and I hate the yellow logo, but after 5+ years, havent seen anything that beats this.
I bought the bag for a 3 day bike tour and it the 7.5 liter worked great on a 54cm Specialized Diverge. Seems waterproof, fills the triangle nicely (other than a tiny area near the pedals) and holds securely, good zippers. Cheaper option than a custom bag.

Setting up my Salsa Fargo to embark on the GDMBR. This fit the Fargo, small, perfectly. Great spot for the heavier stuff like tools and food. It goes very well with the other Blackburn products. Built tough!
FYI- The extra small size bag doesn't fit Giant Revolt medium. The bag bunches up because the angle of the down tube doesn't match the corresponding angle of the bag.
Haven't used on an actual expedition yet, but so far so good. I get the impression these are made more for road/gravel frames vs. others that are more hardtail MTB oriented.
